Member Schools of the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) are Ranked among Florida’s Top Schools for 2023 by U.S. News & World Report Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) Congratulates its Top Performing Member Schools FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., (November 30, 2023) – U.S. News & World Report has ranked member schools of the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) among the top schools in the State of Florida for 2023. University Academy of Panama City, in Bay County, Florida, ranked number seven on the U.S. News & World Report list of the Top 10 Middle Schools in Florida. Somerset Academy Davie, in Broward County, Florida, ranked number seven on the U.S. News & World Report list of the Top 10 Elementary Schools in Florida. “The Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools congratulates its top-ranked member schools and salutes their students, teachers and administrators for their remarkable accomplishments,” said Robert Haag, President of the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools. The rankings are prepared and released by U.S. News & World Report based on public information available from the U.S. Department of Education. The rankings are based on student proficiency in core subject areas. Student-teacher ratios are applied to break ties in the overall score. U.S. News & World Report publishes rankings and data on more than 79,000 public elementary and middle schools throughout the United States. “The 2024 Best Elementary and Middle Schools rankings offer a way for parents to get a snapshot of their child’s school and how well it’s doing within its community,” said LaMont Jones, managing editor for education at U.S. News.
