In the September 2022 edition of SRQ Magazine, we interviewed Dr. Chuck Fradley, Principal of Rowlett Academy as part of our In Conversation feature with educational leaaders about current trends in education. Below is an excerpt published in the magazine in which Fradley shares his insights with SRQ readers.

Dr. Fradley, when Rowlett was founded, was the original foundation around the Seven Habits philosophy and the Lighthouse philosophy and arts? Were those from day one, or have those evolved?

Registration is Available for the 2022 Florida Charter School Conference in Orlando

Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) Encourages Representatives of its Member Schools to Participate

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., (Sept. 6, 2022) – The 2022 Florida Charter School Conference is slated for Oct. 19-21, 2022 at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Fla.

Registration for the 2022 Florida Charter School Conference is now open, with a $240 registration fee available until Sept. 30.  After Sept. 30, the registration fee increases to $305.

The Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) encourages representatives of its member schools to attend the conference, in order to take advantage of numerous professional development opportunities and to network with other educational professionals.  According to information posted on the Conference website, its seminars are geared to charter school authorizers, administrators, educators and charter school stakeholders.

“The Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools is committed to working together and networking at the event with our member schools,” said FCPCS President Robert Haag.  “The Florida Charter School Conference is the perfect place for Florida’s charter school professionals to increase their knowledge and understanding.”

FCPCS is proud to sponsor the Opening Session of the Conference.  It is scheduled to take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19.  FCPCS is also an exhibitor, with multiple booths in the Exhibit Hall opening at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19 and continuing from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20.
