Nominate a Teacher for Recognition at the National Charter Schools Conference in Orlando

Member Schools of Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) Encouraged to Participate

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (March 4, 2020) – Organizers of the National Charter Schools Conference slated for June 21-24, 2020 in Orlando have issued a call for nominations to find dedicated, inspiring teachers who deserve recognition.  Twenty-five teachers will be selected to receive complimentary registration to the conference.

The National Charter Schools Conference is seeking educators who embody the conference theme, “Empowered to Change Lives,” with the goal of honoring them for their hard work in changing the lives of their students every day.

The Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) is encouraging its member schools to participate by nominating their top teachers for recognition.  The nomination form is available on line.  The deadline for nominations is 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on March 27, 2020.

“The Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools encourages our member schools to nominate their best teachers,” said Robert Haag, President of FCPCS.  “With the National Charter Schools Conference being held in Orlando, it’s a great way for many of our educators to have easy access to outstanding professional development programs.”

According to the conference website, the National Charter Schools Conference (NCSC) is the premier learning and professional development conference for charter school leaders, teachers and advocates. With over 100 breakout sessions, engaging workshops and inspiring speakers, NCSC is the largest national gathering of charter school professionals shaping the future of K-12 education.  NCSC attendees include key decision makers in charter schools including, C-suite school leaders, administrators and teachers.

Five thousand people are expected to attend this year’s conference, which will take place at Marriott’s Orlando World Center.
